Avocats Sans Frontières France lays charge against colonel Kadhafi : François CANTIER, ASF France’s President, comes back to the facts.

  • CHAPTER 1 : communiqué of November 12th 2007

Avocats Sans Frontières France invites in France, from December 10th to December 15th the five Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor, freed from Libya.

Since their release, they had expressed their wish to come to France to provide their testimonial and thank, at the same time, all those who have supported them during more than 8 years, while they were prisoners and sentenced to death for a crime they did not commit.

 

  • CHAPTER 2 : communiqué of December 9th 2007

The 5 Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor visit is cancelled.

Mr CANTIER, ASF France’s president explains: « Our guests estimate they could not come to France, while the Libyan president Kadhafi was there.
We are planning a later visit with them, with conditions guaranteeing their serenity and the respect of the memory of the hardships they suffer from ».

 

  • CHAPTER 3 : communiqué of December 12th 2007

The Palestinian doctor, Ashraf Joumaa al-Hajouj has declared: « A charge has been pressed at my name by the Avocats Sans Frontières France association, aiming to make this dictator arrested (ndlr : Mr Kadhafi).

He added: « It is not about revenge. I want Justice to be done. They (the Libyans) have to pay, take their responsibility for what they have done »

ASF France’s president Mr Cantier, Ashraf Joumaa al-Hajouj’s lawyer has pointed out in Paris that this charge concerns videlicet the colonel Kadhafi along with five high-ranking policemen for « tortures » against the Palestinian doctor.
