Samos, an island in the Aegean Sea, is located opposite the Turkish coast. It has the second largest number of migrants: more than 8,000 refugees and migrants reside on the island, while the camp has a capacity of only 650 people. Since January 2019, the Samos Legal Centre provides legal assistance to asylum seekers and works with national and international lawyers and legal experts (including Greek lawyers).
On a daily basis, the Legal Centre welcomes asylum seekers on the island of Samos. The team on site provides legal advice, but also legal support on different procedures.
