Organisation internationale de la francophonie-Press release (in French)
In a press release published by our partner the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) on 18 March 2021, Mrs Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie, expresses her concern about the security crisis in the country.
"Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie, sent a fact-finding mission to Haiti from 3 to 9 March 2021. Led by the Special, Political and Diplomatic Advisor to the Secretary General, Mr Désiré Nyaruhirira, and composed of high-level personalities and experts, the mission was tasked with engaging in in-depth consultations with all stakeholders, including determining with them the modalities of the Francophonie's accompaniment in response to the multi-faceted crisis experienced by this member state."
ASF France will start the IMPLIC project in Haiti in 2021, with the aim of contributing to the defence and protection of the rights of persons deprived of their liberty through the involvement and participation of national actors.
