Press release (In French)- Syrian Kurdistan
From 26 February to 3 March 2021, Avocats Sans Frontières France (ASFF) and the Bâtonnier du Barreau de Paris conducted a joint mission to Iraqi Kurdistan and Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) in order to discuss with the authorities the place of trial of the French nationals currently detained in Rojava and the procedural guarantees in case of a trial there.
Following this mission, ASFF and the Bâtonnier du Barreau de Paris call on the French authorities to repatriate without delay the children and women of French nationality detained in the camps of north-eastern Syria, in order to save the children and to try the women who are the subject of international arrest warrants.
