📍Abuja, Nigeria
🔎The first training session of the e-RIGHTS project took place on 17 and 18 October in Abuja. The aim of the training was to strengthen Nigerian experts' understanding of international digital rights standards.
👉 This training will be followed by 7 workshops with the same group of experts, with a view to creating a digital reform policy guide.
✅Our expert, Emilie de Vaucresson, was accompanied by representatives of the project's partners, SPACES FOR CHANGE and Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), as well as our Country Director in Nigeria, Angela Uwandu Uzoma- Iwuchukwu.
🙏We would like to thank all the participants for the fruitful discussions on the protection of freedom of expression in the digital space in Nigeria, putting European legal developments into perspective.
🤝The e-RIGHTS project is supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Nigeria.
