Lawyers Without Borders France, in partnership with RECODH (Cameroonian Network of Human Rights Organisations) and RIDEV (Research Institute for Development), organised a training session bringing together actors from the criminal justice system on 21 and 22 April 2025 in Yaoundé.

The aim was to strengthen their skills to ensure fairer and more humane treatment of detainees.

The programme included

• Fundamental rights and the prevention of ill-treatment
• Case studies and practical scenarios

23 representatives of the security forces, the judiciary and the prison service, as well as public institutions, took part in the training.

This training is part of the PAGOC project, supported by the European Union Delegation to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
