📅 The European Union Delegation to Cameroon and its partners, including ASF France, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Cameroon's Far North region today.

The delegation was led by Ms Serena Bertania, Head of Programme at the European Union delegation in Cameroon. ASF France was represented by Aristide MOUAKOUA, Head of the PAGOC Project.

👉 The aim of the DUE's field visit was mainly to monitor the projects financed in the region, including PAGOC. It is also a question of exchanging views with the authorities and local stakeholders, including CSOs, on the challenges, needs and new opportunities for collaboration.

🖊️ A working session was held with the lawyers and the project's focal point. The aim was to review the progress of the legal advice activities: feedback from the lawyers on the working tools (documents), discussions on strategies to facilitate access to the Maroua central prison, etc.

The delegation led by the European Union, followed by ASFF and other stakeholders, also visited two prisons, including the main prison in Mokolo and the central prison in Maroua.
