The tragedy that unfolded on February 3 off the coast of the Greek island of Chios is a brutal reminder of the human reality behind the numbers and policies surrounding migration. A migrant boat collided with a Greek coast guard vessel, killing at least 15 people, including children, and injuring many others. The circumstances remain unclear as investigations are ongoing.
