On September 28 and 29, 2026, François Cantier, Founding President of Avocats Sans Frontières France, represented the organization at the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) of La Francophonie in Cotonou, Benin.

Accredited with the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) since 2023, ASF France participates in the Commission on Peace, Democracy, and Human Rights.

This conference brings together the Francophonie’s INGO’s every two years ahead of the Summit of Heads of State and Government to present proposals to leaders.

🤝 On this occasion, François Cantier led the workshop on peace, democracy, and human rights, which brought together some 40 representatives from INGO.

His presentation focused on the role of civil society in conflict prevention, upholding the rule of law, and protecting human rights, as well as on the need to strengthen its role within the Francophone community.
The meeting also served to strengthen ties with civil society organizations and institutional actors based in Benin.

🌍 This participation reflects ASF France’s commitment to justice and human rights.
